Art Pottery Sake Cups (2)
A set of two (2) double walled Somayaki Somaware
sake cups. These are the traditional “Sacred Horse”
of the Soma Clan, hand painted and accented
in
22 karat Gold. T
he “Left Horse” means that it is
second to none, it is a “Good Luck” sign. The
Kano
style
painting
technique used is called “Hashiri
Goma,” meaning
running horse. Add to your set
or replace if needed.
Each weighs 2.6 ounces.
Total weight 5.2 ounces.
Measurements:
2″ in diameter (at top),
1 and 1/4″ in diameter (bottom),
2″ in height.
EXCELLENT VINTAGE CONDITION.
